About this Event
We’re at an inflection point. COVID-19, the climate crisis, and a global reckoning on racial justice have forced us to rethink normal and created a new world of possibilities.
With the stakes clear and the world asking what comes next, on October 10–11, former Vice President Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project will present24 Hours of Reality: Countdown to the Future, a global conversation on the future we want and how we get there, held in partnership with TED Countdown.
For 24 straight hours, Vice President Gore and activists across the planet will lead digital presentations and discussions exploring the historic conjunction of climate change, COVID-19, and structural racism that shape our moment and highlighting what we can do to confront these challenges and together build the future we want.
By attending a presentation, you will receive a localized action to take following the presentation, as well as a tree planted on your behalf through Climate Reality's partnership with One Tree Planted
About the Speaker
Christi Electris is the co-founder and a Fellow at Croatan Institute, an independent, nonprofit research institute whose mission is to harness the power of investment for social good and ecological resilience. She is also a board member of Climate Action Brookline and helps coordinate the efforts of Green Teams across the Brookline schools, and . She is also a member of Mothers Out Front, and a Town Meeting Member representing Precinct 7.
Join Christi, a Climate Reality Project trained Leader, to learn about the current state of the Climate Crisis and the solutions we have to address problem globally. You will also learn about how you can request these Climate Reality presentations for your own school or community groups.
